His Character
Cap is a pirate stranded in Hyrule because he lost his crew, for reasons he does not wish to share.
Acting like a rough, tough guy, he is looking for a new crew. Scared endless of the monsters roaming the seas, he tries to hide that he does not want to get back on his boat. Giving the excuse he cannot leave the safety of the mainland because of his lack of crew. He roams around, and anyone trying to apply for his crew gets turned down for obscure and crazy reasons.
Inspiration
Cap’ is modeled and shaded after the Rito people from Breath of the Wild. I tried to keep their traditional, in game garments intact underneath all his layers. I also found it a funny twist to make the stereotypical pirate parrot the actual pirate himself. That’s why I went with a Macaw for his base colors.
